The Latest 3 Dynamic Load Balancing Strategies & DLB Configuration Plans
Standby Current refers to the remaining electrical capacity available for the EV charger after household appliances have used their share. It is calculated by subtracting real-time appliance usage from the home's total current limit, acting as a buffer to ensure the charger never overloads your circuit.
Depending on your electrical environment — single-phase or three-phase — the charger offers three DLB plans. Each plan uses a different measurement basis to automatically regulate charging current, ensuring the total load never exceeds your circuit's safe capacity.

Plan A — Single-Phase Dynamic Load Balancing
DLB monitors the single-phase household circuit current in real time and uses it as the control basis. The charger automatically adjusts its output power so that the combined draw of charging and home appliances never exceeds the user-configured total current limit — effectively eliminating the risk of tripping your circuit breaker.
- Total Current (user input): Maximum current capacity per phase, adjustable from 8A to 99A. Any excess will trip the circuit breaker.
- Charging Current: Real-time current drawn by the charger while charging.
- Home Appliance: Total load of all other appliances in the circuit, excluding the charging station.
- Standby Current: Remaining capacity = Total − Home Appliance − Charging Current.
- Automatically reduces charging power when household load increases.
- Resumes full charging speed once appliance load decreases.

Plan A — Three-Phase Dynamic Load Balancing
DLB monitors the current of each phase (L1 / L2 / L3) individually in real time. It takes the highest phase current as the control basis and automatically adjusts the charger's output, ensuring no single phase exceeds its safe carrying limit — preventing tripping caused by unbalanced three-phase loading.
- Total Current (user input): Maximum current capacity per phase (8A–99A). Any phase exceeding this limit will trip the breaker.
- Charging Current: Real-time charging current while the charger is operating.
- Home Appliance: Total load of all household appliances on the three-phase circuit, excluding the charger.
- Standby Current: Remaining capacity = Total Current − Home Appliance − Charging Current.
- Home Appliance Max: Peak phase current detected by the energy meter across three phases, excluding the charging station.
- Charging power auto-adjusts based on the most loaded phase — maximum protection for unbalanced loads.

Plan B — Three-Phase Total Current Load Balancing
DLB monitors the combined current of all three phases (L1 + L2 + L3) and dynamically adjusts the EV charger's output. This ensures maximum utilization of available power without exceeding the set maximum household current, while preventing tripping caused by simultaneous use of high-power appliances.
- Household Current (user input): Total three-phase incoming current for household use. Adjustable from 8A to 999A according to your actual requirements.
- Total Current (user input): Maximum current capacity per phase (8A–99A). Any excess will trip the circuit breaker.
- Charging Current Sum: Real-time total charging current across all three phases combined.
- Home Appliance Sum: Total current drawn by household appliances across all three phases, excluding the charging station.
- Standby Current Sum: Remaining capacity = Household Current − Appliance Sum − Charging Sum.
- Maximizes use of available three-phase power — ideal for high-efficiency charging environments.
