1. Main subsidy program: KfW 442 solar charging station subsidy
The program was launched by the German Development Credit Bank (KfW) to support private homeowners to install integrated photovoltaic storage and charging systems to provide green charging methods for electric vehicles.
1. Subsidy amount
The maximum subsidy is 10,200 euros, including the following sub-items:
Charging pile: 600 euros for one-way charging piles, 1,200 euros for two-way (supporting vehicle-grid interaction).
Photovoltaic system: capacity ≥5kWp, subsidy 600 euros/kWp, upper limit 6000 euros.
Energy storage system: capacity ≥5kWh, subsidy 250 euros/kWp, upper limit 3000 euros.
2. Application conditions
Applicable objects:
Own personal residential property rights (apartments, holiday homes, and houses under construction are not applicable).
Purchased or ordered pure electric vehicles (hybrid vehicles and corporate vehicles are not applicable).
System requirements:
Charging pile power ≥11kW, and must be installed in combination with photovoltaic and energy storage systems.
It must be constructed by a professional organization, and must be retained for at least 6 years after installation, and data reports must be submitted regularly.
3. Application process
Pre-application: Submit an application through KfW's "Meine KfW" customer portal, and purchase and install the equipment after approval.
Installation: Complete the installation of the solar storage and charging system and ensure that it meets technical standards.
Submit proof: Provide proof of purchase, installation contract, invoice and other materials, and wait for the subsidy to arrive59.
2. Other related subsidy policies
1. Charging power subsidy
The government provides subsidies based on the power and investment amount of the charging pile, ranging from 3,000 euros to 30,000 euros, which are applicable to enterprises and local governments. It is necessary to commit to accepting data monitoring within 6 years.
2. Car purchase subsidy
Pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles can enjoy car purchase subsidies, the amount of which is adjusted according to battery capacity and model, usually thousands of euros.
3. Tax relief
Vehicle purchase tax is exempted, annual vehicle tax is reduced, and the cost of use is further reduced13.
3. Notes
Residential restrictions: Only personal main residences can be applied for, not rental houses or commercial properties.
Technical compatibility: Choose equipment included in the KfW subsidy list (such as EN+ Technology's home charging pile) to ensure eligibility.
Time node: Some subsidy plans have a total limit (such as KfW 442 with a total of 500 million euros), it is recommended to apply as soon as possible.
4. Case reference
EN+ Technology's home charging pile: supports photovoltaic charging, dynamic load balancing and other functions, complies with KfW 442 standards, and can apply for the highest subsidy.
Tesla Model 3: As a common pure electric vehicle, it meets the conditions for car purchase subsidies and charging pile subsidies.
